Application
POCl3 was widely used in production of pesticides, pharmaceuticals, dyes, phosphates ester flame retardants and plasticizers. It is also used for the chlorination of sulfa drugs. It is intermediate of dyes, chlorinating agent and catalyst of organic synthesis, and uranium extraction agent. And it is solvent of liquid-liquid extraction and phosphorus diffusion agent of the semiconductor industry.
